It’s anniversary season. Be kind.
As a funeral director who worked through the pandemic please keep in mind that some of our our biggest surges and highest death rates came during the holidays. That means there are a sh*t ton of grieving people, most who probably haven’t been able to fully process their grief in healthy/healing ways. Holidays are always hard, but this is an anniversary for a whole lot of people and those are an added twist of the knife. So PLEASE be kind to strangers, you never know what someone has gone/is going through. If someone is an a-hole, it’s probably not you, it’s grief. Don’t add to it, just be kind.
